A word from Gospel Gary's Heart A few years ago I asked the Lord, "Why have you chosen a man of my age to be a children's minister?" He answered and said, "it's where your heart is Gary, At that time I had been working with children for about 4 years, and never realized that was where my heart was. I just love working with the kids. Preaching, playing, and singing with them just came natural to me. I had been working with them at that time, because I saw the need I was pretty scared at first, but I loved it and month after month my love and compassion for the kids grew stronger and stronger, and even today it's still growing. As time went on God blessed me with two assistant's. I see parents spending very little time with their children, I see young children on the streets late at night, and I wonder, do their parents even care? Well I do. My first concern for children is their salvation. I want To teach them about Christ, and what water baptism is all about, then the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I want to get kids off the streets and in church, I want them to feel like someone special, and to feel needed in life I want them to know that someone does care and that they do have a purpose in life. I want them to know that they are a child of God and that there is a calling on every single child, and that someone does care and someone does love them. I DO!!! From My Heart, |
